Unique Sounds all started with a passion for music that originated in Cuba in the 1980s. Ralph Montero was born in Havana, Cuba and immigrated to the United States in 1979 at the age of 13. At the age of 15 when his dad gifted him an amplifier, two turn tables, a homemade mixer and two speakers, Ralph began to practice how to create a mix. In 1982, at the age of 16, Ralph Montero DJ’d at his very first house party and his first big performance was at a Cuban Social Club private event. After that event, he and close friends decided on a DJ name and the name Unique Sounds was discovered; Ultimately leading to the creation of Unique Sounds DJ company in 1983. Originally offering DJ services alone, Unique Sounds has expanded to offer musical services, photo booth and up lighting. What once was a simple DJ business has turned into a business that you want to hire for all your entertainment needs. Ralph Montero has played at numerous events with big artists, such as Oscar de Leon, Willie Chirino, Celia Cruz, Hansel y Raul and Melow Man Ace. He has been entertaining crowds for over 30 years and his passion for music continues to grow. Ralph Montero
Ralph began DJing 1982, his love for music originated in his beloved Cuba and traveled with him to the states. Ralph has a unique ear for music and his goal has always been and continues to be providing an atmosphere where people want to get up and dance. Being the life of the party is Ralph's specialty.
Dorian Montero
Dorian began DJing at the age of 16 . Falling in love with music was an early passion of his. Following in his father's footsteps, Dorian joined forces with his father and began DJing on his own. Be it any social event Dorian will liven up any party. His unique personality will ensure your event is a musical success.
